Lokomotiv Plovdiv appoints Ventsislav Hristov as executive director

Lokomotiv Plovdiv has announced the appointment of former Bulgarian national player Ventsislav Hristov as the club's new executive director. Hristov, who previously played for clubs including Levski Sofia and Beroe, has prior management experience as a sporting director at Rilski Sportist.

The appointment comes amid a difficult period for the club, which currently sits in 13th place in the First League with only three points from six matches. The move has met with some resistance from supporters, with fan groups issuing statements criticizing the club's management decisions.

In terms of squad reinforcement, the club is set to sign 25-year-old defender Patrick-Gabriel Galchev. The former Levski player, who most recently played for Zeljeznicar Sarajevo, is expected to provide depth to the defensive flanks, addressing recent injury concerns and tactical shifts within the squad.
