Lokomotiv Plovdiv appoints Veselin Veselinov as assistant coach

Lokomotiv Plovdiv has appointed Veselin Veselinov as the new assistant coach for the men's basketball team as part of the club's coaching staff preparations for the 2026/27 season.

Veselinov joins the club from Cherno More Ticha, where he was part of the staff that won two Bulgarian Cups and one Bulgarian Supercup in 2025, as well as earning a silver medal in the NBL.

A former prominent national player, Veselinov has won seven Bulgarian championship titles during his playing career. His coaching experience includes serving as the head coach for the Bulgaria U14 national team and assistant coach for the U16 team. He also led the Bulgaria U18 national team to the European Championship in Division A in 2026.
