Lokomotiv Plovdiv faces ownership and stadium concerns
Supporter Valentin Kotov has raised serious concerns regarding the management and infrastructure of the Lokomotiv Plovdiv football club. During an appearance on the FootballStorycast podcast, Kotov highlighted discrepancies in the club's ownership structure. According to commercial register data, Hristo Krusharski holds a 47.7% stake, while the company Vedona EOOD holds 47.6%, leading Kotov to question the true nature of the club's ownership and the identity of those behind the firm.
Kotov also criticized the catastrophic state of the Lokomotiv Stadium. He reported significant maintenance issues, including leaks, cracks, and structural defects in the newly built stands that are still under warranty. He specifically noted that the pitch has not been replaced since July 2016 and described the hygiene at the Besika stand as unacceptable, citing a lack of cleanliness and basic amenities in the restrooms. Kotov called upon the Plovdiv Municipality to intervene and address these facility concerns.
