Lokomotiv Plovdiv signs Julian Iliev on loan from CSKA Sofia

Lokomotiv Plovdiv has officially signed 21-year-old midfielder Julian Iliev on loan from CSKA Sofia. The deal, finalized near the end of the summer transfer window, will see the player remain with Lokomotiv until the end of the 2026/27 season.

Iliev, a product of the CSKA youth academy who also spent time in the Levski Sofia academy, has primarily featured for CSKA's second team. During the 2025/26 season, he recorded 29 appearances in the Second League, starting in 28 of them. His professional career includes three official appearances for CSKA's first team.

The midfielder is capable of playing as a defensive, central, or attacking midfielder. While he remains the property of CSKA, the loan is intended to provide him with more playing time and experience at the First League level.
