Lokomotiv Ruse swimmers win 12 medals at Burgas tournament

The Lokomotiv Ruse swimming club secured 12 medals during the “Burgas Swims” international tournament held in a 25-meter pool. The event featured hundreds of swimmers from 38 different clubs.

Ann-Mari Mladenova was recognized as the best swimmer, earning the highest FINA points (614) in the 50m backstroke discipline. She achieved first-place finishes in the 50m, 100m, and 200m backstroke, as well as the 100m individual medley, narrowly missing pool records in both the 50m backstroke and 100m medley.

Other medalists included Alexander Hristov, who took first place in the 400m freestyle, and Samuil Stoyanov, who earned second place in the 50m and 200m backstroke. Viktor Stanev and Boyana Gabrovska also contributed silver and bronze medals in breaststroke events. Coach Sevilay Sali expressed satisfaction with the results, noting that the competition served as a successful test ahead of the national championships in November.
