Lola Dufros, Miss Petite Universe runner-up, dies at 22

Lola Dufros, the 22-year-old first runner-up of the Miss Petite Universe Ille-et-Vilaine 2026 pageant, passed away on August 24, 2026, in the Brittany region of France.

According to her mother, Nolwenn Guillou, Dufros died following an epileptic seizure. The incident occurred after she had completed a 45 km walk from Dinard to Saint-Cast-le-Guildo on the GR34 trail. Her body was found in an apartment in the Saint-Malo area.

The Miss Petite Universe Ille-et-Vilaine and Brittany committees expressed profound sadness, describing Dufros as a “sparkling and smiling” individual who was “benevolent and attentive to others.” Her funeral is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the Notre-Dame church in Dinard.
