WWE NXT Great American Bash crowns new Women’s Champion and announces Heatwave‑AAA double‑header

On June 28 2026 the WWE Performance Center in Orlando hosted the NXT Great American Bash, a Premium Live Event broadcast on The CW in the United States and on Netflix internationally. In the main event Kendal Grey defeated Lola Vice to capture the NXT Women’s Championship, ending Vice’s 84‑day reign. All other title matches ended with the champions retaining: Tony D’Angelo kept the NXT Championship against Naraku, Myles Borne defended the North American Championship versus Tavion Heights, Zaria held the Women’s North American title against Tatum Paxley, and Wren Sinclair retained the Women’s Speed Championship over Arianna Grace.

During the show WWE announced that the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas will host a joint NXT Heatwave and Lucha Libre AAA double‑header on August 30. Tickets go on sale July 8, with a presale beginning July 7. The event will be broadcast on The CW/Netflix in the U.S. and on YouTube/FOX in Mexico and Latin America. WWE’s scheduling coincides with AEW’s All In in London; AEW president Tony Khan described the overlap as a “compliment” but said his focus remains on the All In show.
