Lomé-Tokoin Airport to conduct health emergency simulation
The Société Aéroportuaire de Lomé-Tokoin (SALT) will host the sixth edition of its health emergency simulation exercise, known as ‘EPULO 2026’, at Gnassingbé Eyadéma International Airport on Friday, October 30, 2026.
The exercise will simulate the detection of a disease with epidemic potential aboard an aircraft. The drill is designed to test the effectiveness of alert systems, evaluate the reaction speed of various stakeholders, and improve coordination between airport services and health authorities during a public health crisis.
This initiative complies with Togo’s national aeronautical regulations (RANT 14), the Gnassingbé Eyadéma International Airport Emergency Plan (PUR-AIGE), and the standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The goal is to identify any gaps in the current response framework and ensure the airport remains resilient against sanitary threats.
