Lombardy and other Italian regions allocate millions to forest, anti‑landslide and cultural projects
The Lombardy regional council approved a €973,000 allocation to support 27 forest consortia, financing forest management, hydro‑geological risk prevention and employing more than 400 staff.
In Lazio, a €2.4 million anti‑landslide programme has been launched to secure the Collepardo caves, installing barriers, nets and using helicopters; works are slated for completion in September.
