Lombardy archers capture multiple medals at Verdello competition

Archers from the Lombardy region dominated the recent double-distance target shooting event in Verdello (Bergamo). In the senior recurve division, Giorgio Tessaro secured the gold medal, while Daniela Sangiorgio won gold in the senior bare‑bow division, with Alessia Passoni taking silver and Elena Imprenti bronze. The women's team also topped the podium.

Additional medals were earned by athletes from Brianza clubs: Camilla Brioschi claimed junior compound gold, Marta Sannicandro earned junior compound silver, and Marino Crippa placed second in senior recurve. Greta Piao won senior junior‑class recurve gold, and Andrea Beraldo took senior compound silver. The results contributed to Lombardy ranking seventh nationally.

The event highlighted the depth of archery talent in the region and bolstered its standing in the national Fitarco Lombardy rankings.
