Lombardy art events include painting prize in Lecco and Monza watercolor exhibition

Several art events are scheduled to take place in the Lombardy region of Italy.

In Lecco, the first edition of the “Lucia” Extemporaneous Painting Prize will be held in Pescarenico. Supported by Fondazione Cariplo and Regione Lombardia, the initiative aims to provide a contemporary interpretation of the landscapes described in Alessandro Manzoni’s novel, “I Promessi Sposi”. The event is part of a three-year project spanning 2026, 2027, and 2028, focusing on the intersection of culture, training, and innovation.

Additionally, the Reggia di Monza will host “Luminis Orae. La soglia della luce,” an international exhibition of watercolor masters. Running from September 20 to October 25, 2026, the exhibition is organized by the Accademia Internazionale dell’Acquarello in collaboration with the Province of Monza and Brianza and the Accademia Vivarium Novum. The program includes workshops, plein air sessions, guided tours, and live concerts, with free admission offered to the public.
