Lombardy coordinates medical repatriation of elderly woman from Albania

An 83-year-old resident of Vigevano has been repatriated to Lombardy following a medical emergency in Albania. The woman had been in intensive care in Tirana due to severe respiratory failure.

Coordinated by the Regional Emergency Urgency Agency (AREU), an emergency medical flight was organized to transport the patient from Tirana to Italy. Upon arrival, she was taken into the care of ASST Pavia medical staff and transferred to the intensive care unit at Voghera Hospital to continue her treatment.
