Lombardy hosts Futura 2026 cultural innovation event at La Scala

The Futura 2026 event, held at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, focused on the role of culture in shaping the future through innovation and cross-disciplinary dialogue. Organized by Francesca Caruso, the Lombardy Region's Assessor for Culture, the second edition of the initiative brought together institutions, artists, curators, intellectuals, and entrepreneurs.

The program emphasizes culture as a significant economic and social lever for regional development. By pairing different generations and artistic styles—such as the collaboration between Maestro Sgro and street artist Greg Goya—the event aims to engage a broader audience.

Lombardy's cultural policy seeks to expand beyond traditional venues to reach smaller villages, mountain communities, and internal areas, fostering a more inclusive and transversal approach to knowledge and innovation.
