Lombardy Region allocates funds for accessibility and musical traditions
The Lombardy regional government has approved new funding initiatives targeting both social accessibility and cultural preservation.
A significant allocation of 1,103,118 euros has been designated to remove architectural barriers in private residences across the region. This funding aims to support 263 total interventions, providing grants of up to 7,000 euros per project to enhance autonomy for people with disabilities. Specific provincial allocations include 37,404 euros for nine interventions in Lodi and 35,468 euros for 11 interventions in Pavia. Local municipal administrations will be responsible for verifying applications and distributing the contributions.
Additionally, the region has launched a 900,000 euro support program for musical bands, fanfares, choirs, and folk groups. The fund is divided into two streams: 700,000 euros for musical activities and 200,000 euros for the purchase, recovery, or restoration of instruments and materials. Applications for this cultural measure can be submitted from November 20 until December 3, 2026.
