Lombardy Region announces funding for trade fairs and employee training
The Lombardy Region has announced new financial measures to support the local economy through trade fairs and professional development.
Economic Development Councilor Guido Guidesi has proposed a 1.5 million euro initiative to support the Lombardy trade fair system through 2027. This funding aims to enhance competitiveness by supporting the digitalization of services, the promotion of events, and the internationalization of markets. The program specifically targets the recruitment of foreign buyers and the creation of networking areas for startups and young entrepreneurs to ensure sectoral renewal.
Additionally, the region has launched the fourth edition of the Continuous Training Call (Bando Formazione Continua) for 2026. Supported by a 10 million euro fund from the PR FSE+ 2021-2027, this program provides corporate vouchers of up to 50,000 euros per year. The funding covers training costs for employees, partners, and owners, with public contributions ranging from 50% for companies with more than 50 employees to 90% for micro-enterprises and self-employed workers.
