Lombardy Region to provide taxi mats for guide dogs

The Lombardy Region has approved funding to provide mats for taxis to facilitate the transport of guide dogs. This initiative aims to support the rights of guide dogs and their handlers, ensuring better mobility and social inclusion for individuals with visual impairments.

The decision follows a national event held in Milan organized by the Lombardy Region and the Italian Union of the Blind and Partially Sighted. Regional Councilor Elena Lucchini emphasized that the funding is part of an ongoing effort to guarantee autonomy for people with disabilities.
