Lombardy reports significant growth in cultural tourism

During the ‘Futura – Nuovi sguardi per la Cultura’ event held at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Lombardy Region President Attilio Fontana noted a substantial increase in cultural tourism, stating that the region's culture is being rediscovered by both local citizens and the international community.

As part of the proceedings, Francesca Caruso, the Lombardy Regional Councilor for Culture, read a letter from Pope Leo XIV addressed to the event. In the message, the Pope encouraged the preservation of Lombardy's cultural heritage to serve human dignity and truth. He highlighted the importance of understanding how Christian faith has historically informed Italian art, literature, and poetry, expressing hope that the conference would foster a fraternal society.
