Lombardy rolls out €5 million Giovani IN Rete youth network for 2026‑2027

The regional government of Lombardy, together with the Ecclesiastical Region, announced the 2026‑2027 edition of the "Giovani IN Rete" project at Palazzo Lombardia. The initiative was presented by sub‑secretary for Sport and Youth Federica Picchi, President Attilio Fontana and other regional and church officials, and is intended to use local oratories as hubs for youth participation, education and personal development.

Funding totals approximately €5 million, comprising €930,000 allocated by the Lombardy Regional Council, €300,000 contributed by the Ecclesiastical Region and a €4 million zero‑interest loan from the Institute for Sports and Cultural Credit. The resources will support up to 150 educational projects throughout the region.

The programme is structured around two action lines. The first backs about 140 parish‑based projects that promote tutoring, sport and inclusion of people with disabilities. The second introduces a new territorial line that encourages partnerships among multiple local entities. Applications for the 2026‑2027 cycle close on 20 September 2026.
