Lommel SK speeds up transfer push, targeting defender Adewoye and more
Lommel SK is intensifying its transfer activity after a serious knee injury to defender Banguera, who will miss several months with a torn ACL. The club is focusing on acquiring an experienced centre‑back and has identified free‑agent Shawn Adewoye, a 26‑year‑old Belgian who previously played for Genk, RKC Waalwijk, Fortuna Sittard and logged 139 Eredivisie matches, as a primary target.
In addition to the defensive signing, Lommel is evaluating several other players. Forward Appuah, a 21‑year‑old attacker from Valenciennes who recorded seven goals and two assists in the French league, is being trialled. English defensive midfielder Isaiah Dada‑Mascoll, a Manchester City youth international, is also in the running for playing time. The club announced the return of midfielder Djordje Gordic, who re‑joins after loan spells in Serbia, Slovenia and Hungary; he was bought three years ago for €1.9 million. Lommel aims to complete at least one central‑defence signing before the transfer window closes.
