London art scene expands with new satellite fairs during Frieze Week

London’s autumn art season features a variety of major exhibitions and new satellite fairs during Frieze Week. Frieze London and Frieze Masters are scheduled for October 14–18, with Frieze Masters focusing on pre-21st-century art and design through sections like ‘Reflections.’

Two new satellite fairs are debuting on October 15. The London Invitational, an extension of the Dallas-based boutique fair established by James Cope, will host 15 galleries at the Chancery Rosewood. The fair aims to provide a calmer, more relaxed viewing environment for collectors.

Additionally, Fair Play, founded by Ryan Stanier, will launch an artist-led model at One Marylebone. This fair eliminates traditional gallery booth fees in favor of a sales commission and requires all artwork prices to be displayed. The inaugural edition will feature approximately 70 artists, including Robert Montgomery and Tim Noble.
