London celebrates Diwali 2026 with public events and dining

London will host various celebrations for Diwali 2026, featuring public events in Trafalgar Square and specialized dining experiences across the city.

On October 25, 2026, Trafalgar Square will host ‘Diwali On The Square,’ a free family-friendly event running from 1 pm to 7 pm. Announced by Mayor Sadiq Khan, the celebration will include a dance sequence with 200 performers, music, and cultural presentations from London’s Hindu, Sikh, and Jain communities. The event will also feature arts and crafts, storytelling, yoga, meditation, and various food stalls offering vegetarian and vegan cuisine.

In addition to public festivities, Taj Hotels London will offer a series of Indian dining experiences from October 16 to November 8, 2026. Located in Westminster and South Kensington, the program includes festive thalis, regional brunches, and buffets across five venues, including the Michelin-starred restaurants Quilon and Bombay Brasserie.
