London City Lionesses sell out WSL opener against Manchester United

London City Lionesses have announced that their Barclays Women's Super League season opener against Manchester United has officially sold out. The match, held at the CopperJax Community Stadium, will see a record-breaking attendance of over 5,400 supporters, marking the club's largest-ever home fixture.

London City player Daniëlle Van de Donk noted the significance of the sell-out, stating, “It’s incredible to sell out our opening game and it just shows how much interest there is at the club at the moment.” The club also reported record season ticket sales for the 2026/27 season.

The upcoming fixture pits the newly promoted London City against Manchester United, one of the division's teams with a larger budget, as both clubs begin their respective WSL campaigns.
