London Design Festival announces 2026 medal winners

The 2026 London Design Festival has announced the winners of the London Design Medals, celebrating excellence in the creative ecosystem. The awards recognize lifetime achievement, innovation, and emerging talent.

Sir Christopher Frayling received the Lifetime Achievement Medal for his contributions to design education. Jonathan Anderson was awarded the London Design Medal for his work in fashion design, while Anab Jain, co-founder of Superflux, earned the Design Innovation Medal. Solveiga Pakštaitė received the Emerging Design Medal for her work in sustainable, user-centered design.

The festival, held from September 12–20, features a wide array of exhibitions and installations across London. Notable highlights include ‘The Pangolin Shield’ pavilion by Studio Saar near Somerset House, which explores themes of protection and vulnerability through bamboo craftsmanship, and a modular furniture collaboration by USM in Marylebone.
