London Diamond League athletics meet features top sprinters and hurdlers

The Diamond League meeting at London's Olympic Stadium on 19 June assembled a strong field of world‑class sprinters and hurdlers. Participants included Olympic 400 m champion Marileidy Paulino (DOM), Jamaican athletes Nickisha Pryce and Stacey‑Ann Williams, Norway’s Henriette Jaeger, British runners Charlotte Henrich and Yemi Mary John, Kazakhstani Roxana Gomez and several other top competitors. The programme also covered 800 m races with Olympic champion Keely Hodgkinson and a range of 100 m and 200 m events featuring athletes from Poland, Ukraine, Australia, Serbia and other nations.

Polish hurdler Pia Skrzyszowska has posted fast times in recent Diamond League meetings—12.53 s in Paris, 12.46 s in Nancy and 12.44 s in Monaco—results that meet the standard for a European championship medal. After the Polish national championships in Białystok, she will look to improve her performance at the upcoming London meet, aiming for a podium finish.
