London Eye unveils 'Book Breathtaking' tourism campaign

Merlin Entertainments and creative agency TBWA\MCR have launched a new marketing campaign for the London Eye titled “Book Breathtaking Today”. The campaign urges tourists and locals to experience the landmark from inside a pod rather than viewing it from the ground, using a stripped‑back visual that shows a single pod floating above the skyline. It promotes the idea that the most breathtaking views of London come from the Eye itself.

The initiative will run across digital out‑of‑home, BVOD, traditional out‑of‑home, YouTube, Meta and digital display, with media planning handled by OMD. Production is led by Chief, directed by Yoni Weisberg, with audio post‑production by Rascal. Merlin’s senior vice‑president of global marketing Toby Horry said the campaign creates a sense of FOMO, while TBWA\MCR deputy creative director Becci Nadin highlighted the aim of shifting focus from the attraction to the view from it.
