London Fashion Week showcases emerging designers for Spring 2027

Emerging designers are showcasing experimental collections at London Fashion Week for the Spring 2027 season. Fashion East designers, including Jacek Gleba, Goyagoma, Louis Mayhew, and newcomer Mé Mé, utilized unconventional processes and materials. Mayhew presented reconstructed polo shirts and jewelry, while Mé Mé fused tailoring with knits to mimic the texture of paper. Traicelene Pratt incorporated Bahamian heritage through intricate embroidery and pearl sequins, and Gleba collaborated with Jeanologia on sustainable denim pieces.

Designer Kanyinsola Onalaja presented her ‘ReBirth’ capsule collection, a 25-piece series inspired by a fire that destroyed her previous archives. The collection uses motifs of fire, such as burnt oranges and fiery reds, to explore themes of destruction and renewal. Her work incorporates Yoruba and Edo Bini elements, blending her Nigerian and European heritage through sculptural silhouettes and feather embellishments. Additionally, Macy Grimshaw is utilizing fashion film to present her Central Saint Martins graduate work.
