The London High Court has quashed the planning permission granted to Tottenham Hotspur Football Club for a football academy on the former Whitewebbs Park Golf Club site in Enfield. The court ruling nullified the earlier approval for the development.

Enfield Borough Council welcomed the decision, stating the park will be preserved for community use. Council leader Cllr Alessandro Georgiou said the council had pledged to protect Whitewebbs Park from unacceptable development and will now devise new plans that reflect local needs.
