London officials urge stricter regulation of dockless e-bikes

In boroughs like Enfield, certain operators have faced restrictions due to operational concerns, while in Waltham Forest, local leaders are debating the introduction of rental schemes following public consultations.

Opposition councillors in Waltham Forest have proposed eleven ‘firm red lines’ to ensure that any future e-bike schemes prioritize designated parking bays and prevent the obstruction of pavements, arguing that benefits must not come at the expense of resident accessibility.
