London police launch manhunt for escaped prisoner Anthony Lloyd

The Metropolitan Police have launched a manhunt for 38-year-old Anthony Lloyd after he escaped from a medical facility in Lewisham, South London. Lloyd was last seen around 4:10 p.m. on Friday heading toward Catford.

Authorities describe Lloyd as a risk to both himself and the public. He is a white male, approximately 5ft 8in tall, of medium build, with short dark hair. At the time of his escape, he was wearing a grey-blue t-shirt, black tracksuit bottoms, and white trainers.

Lloyd was serving a 12-month sentence following a 2025 conviction for Actual Bodily Harm (ABH) involving three emergency workers in Nottinghamshire. He had been transferred to the Lewisham medical unit in September. Detective Superintendent Melanie Pressley, who is leading the investigation, has urged the public not to approach him and to contact emergency services immediately if he is spotted.
