London Police seek two men after rape of 13-year-old girl

The Metropolitan Police have named two men, Showkoth Ahmed, 31, and Jahidul Hassan Jaigirdar, 34, as they search for suspects in the rape of a 13-year-old girl in Bethnal Green, East London.

The incident occurred in August 2024, when the victim reported being approached on Whitechapel Road and led into Weavers Fields, where the attack took place. Following a public appeal for information in September, both men reportedly fled.

Authorities believe Ahmed may still be in the United Kingdom and has links to the Tower Hamlets district. Jaigirdar is believed to have traveled to Bangladesh. Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
