London properties worth 2,600 billion VND frozen in Su Jiangbo investigation

UK authorities have frozen 85 properties in London linked to Su Jiangbo, a man born in 1985 who is wanted by Chinese police for allegedly operating an illegal online gambling network. The assets, valued at approximately 738 million NDT (roughly 2,600 billion VND), include luxury apartments in areas such as Bankside and Islington, as well as a central London penthouse valued at approximately 13 million USD.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) obtained orders from the High Court to investigate the source of the funds and temporarily freeze the assets. Su Jiangbo, identified by international media as a Fujian native, reportedly began acquiring these properties in 2023, at times purchasing up to seven units in a single day.

The individual has been given a three-month deadline to prove the legality of the funds used for these purchases. Failure to provide sufficient evidence may result in the total seizure of the real estate portfolio.
