London restaurants celebrate Beaujolais Nouveau Day
Several London restaurants are preparing to celebrate Beaujolais Nouveau Day on Thursday, 19 November. The annual event marks the release of the fresh, fruit-forward red wine produced from Gamay grapes in France’s Beaujolais region.
Le Garrick in Covent Garden is marking its 40th anniversary with an all-day celebration featuring a three-course menu for £37. The menu includes traditional dishes such as French onion soup, beef or mushroom bourguignon, and tarte au citron. The restaurant will serve Vignobles Renaud Bodillard Beaujolais Villages AOC Nouveau 2026.
Galvin Bistrot & Bar in Spitalfields is also hosting celebrations from breakfast through dinner. The establishment is offering a dedicated breakfast menu and a three-course lunch and dinner menu for £35.00, featuring classics like coq au vin and apple tarte Tatin to complement the seasonal wine.
