London teenager sentenced for attempted Porsche robbery

Fawaz Oyedeji, a 19-year-old from Greenwich, London, has been sentenced to four years in prison following an attempted robbery of a Porsche Cayenne.

According to investigators, Oyedeji posed as a buyer for a vehicle listed online for £72,500. During a meeting at a residence in Southwark, Oyedeji allegedly produced what appeared to be a firearm and demanded the keys from the victim. The victim resisted the attempt, prompting Oyedeji to flee the scene.

Police secured a conviction using CCTV footage, forensic evidence, and digital data linking the phone used to arrange the meeting to Oyedeji. A jury at Inner London Crown Court found him guilty after 26 minutes of deliberation.
