Campo Grande's Centro em Ação meets merchants to revitalize downtown

On Friday, the 31st, the Secretaria Municipal de Meio Ambiente, Gestão Urbana e Desenvolvimento Econômico, Turístico e Sustentável (Semades) convened merchants operating on Rua 14 de Julho in Campo Grande. The session, part of the municipal Projeto Centro em Ação, aimed to explain municipal legislation, gather feedback and promote a coordinated effort to revitalize the city’s central district.

Officials from the Secretaria Especial de Segurança e Defesa Social (Sesdes), the Guarda Civil Metropolitana (GCM), the Agência Municipal de Transporte e Trânsito (Agetran), the Secretaria Municipal de Saúde (Sesau) and the Secretaria Municipal de Infraestrutura e Serviços Públicos (Sisep) presented information on security, infrastructure, health and transport matters. Semades superintendente of Economic Development Rafaela Capelari emphasized that permanent dialogue between the municipality and businesses is a core pillar of the initiative. Local entrepreneur Hipólito Lima, owner of Bar da Prosa, said the meeting demonstrates the city’s commitment to a healthier, more organized commercial environment.
