Brazil infrastructure and security updates across multiple regions
Various infrastructure and security initiatives are underway across Brazil. In Mato Grosso, the Vigia Mais Agro program is expanding rural monitoring through high-resolution cameras and satellite internet to combat theft and vandalism.
In the transport sector, several major highway works are impacting traffic. On the Fernão Dias highway (BR-381), the lifting of a pedestrian bridge in Vargem has been rescheduled due to weather; this structure was involved in a fatal accident in August. On the BR-116, DNIT is performing repairs on a bridge in Turuçu, while Arteris Planalto Sul expects high vehicle volumes during the upcoming holiday. Additionally, Nova Rota do Oeste is conducting maintenance on BR-163, BR-364, and BR-070 in Mato Grosso, requiring 'Stop and Go' operations.
Urban improvements include paving and LED lighting projects in Itaboraí and Vila Paranaguá, as well as a new roundabout in Jardim Social. In Rio Sono, Tocantins, a R$ 1.8 million paving project has reached the Mansinha village. In Curitiba, a major viaduct on the Contorno Norte has been opened to traffic, enhancing regional mobility.
