Lone Star Conference collegiate athletics continue seasonal play

Lone Star Conference athletic programs are continuing their seasonal play across Texas and New Mexico.

Texas Woman's University volleyball is beginning a road trip, scheduled to face Sul Ross State in Alpine, Texas, followed by a matchup against Western New Mexico in Silver City. The Pioneers currently hold a 4-10 overall record and 1-3 in conference play. Key performers for the team include Alyssa Rojo in defense and Mary Grace King on offense.

In soccer, Angelo State has rescheduled its home match against Sul Ross State to an earlier kickoff time of noon at the LeGrand Soccer Complex due to potential inclement weather. The Rambelles, currently 1-6-3 overall, are seeking their first conference victory of the season before traveling to face West Texas A&M later in the week.
