Lone Star Conference volleyball: TWU and UT Dallas suffer losses

In Lone Star Conference volleyball action, both Texas Woman's University and the University of Texas at Dallas suffered losses on Friday night.

Texas Woman's University fell to St. Edward's in a three-set match with scores of 25-20, 25-16, and 25-12. Trinity Blackwood led the Pioneers with eight kills and five blocks, while Lorena Gómez recorded 10 assists. The Pioneers finished the match with a .025 hitting percentage.

The University of Texas at Dallas lost a competitive five-set match to Midwestern State, with final scores of 21-25, 25-16, 25-18, 23-25, and 15-12. Lila Westphal recorded a career-high nine blocks for the Comets, and Jane Burkhardt contributed 15 kills.
