Lone Star Series to feature women's college basketball in Fort Worth

Wild Horse Sports Management has announced the launch of the Lone Star Series (LS²), a new women's college basketball platform scheduled for the 2026–27 season. The inaugural series will feature matchups at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, involving the University of Texas, TCU, Ohio State, and Utah State.

The series will consist of two doubleheader events. On Sunday, November 22, 2026, the Women's Funkytown Showdown will feature TCU against Utah State, followed by a game between Texas and Ohio State. The series continues on Sunday, December 6, 2026, with the Women's Battle for Texas, featuring a matchup between Texas and TCU.

TCU's nonconference schedule also includes a home-and-home series with Clemson and Texas A&M. The Horned Frogs are set to open their regular season on November 2 against Lindenwood and will participate in the Players Era Tournament in Las Vegas later in November.
