Long Island hosts autumn festivals and Halloween events

Long Island is hosting various autumn festivals and Halloween-themed events across Nassau and Suffolk counties.

Hicks Nurseries in Westbury is holding its 51st Annual Fall Festival, featuring seasonal plants, pumpkins, Halloween activities, and live music. The event is free and runs daily until November 1. In Riverhead, the 45th annual Hallockville Country Fair will take place on October 3 and 4, showcasing agricultural history, colonial cooking demonstrations, livestock, and traditional crafts.

Other seasonal attractions include the Haunted House of Hamburgers in Farmingdale, which offers themed dining, and Nightmare in Nassau at Broadway Commons in Hicksville. For families, the Center for Science Teaching and Learning in Rockville Centre provides an enchanted forest experience, while the Long Island Children’s Museum in Garden City hosts special events such as skating with skeletons.
