LONGi unveiled an end‑to‑end solar‑storage solution, dubbed the “sunlight generator,” at the SNEC 2026 trade show in Shanghai. The product family, called LONGi ONE, combines panels, battery‑management, inverters and cloud‑based dispatch under a single in‑house architecture. Founder Li Zhenguo said, “Cheap electricity that cannot be stably fed into the grid or flexibly used has a ceiling on its value.” The integrated system claims a round‑trip efficiency of 93%, an 8% boost in generation over the storage lifecycle and 99% system availability, aiming to raise project ROI.

The announcement arrives as the residential home‑battery market expands amid rising electricity costs. Home batteries – typically lithium‑iron‑phosphate or emerging sodium‑ion chemistries – let owners store excess solar output or cheap off‑peak power, providing backup, off‑grid capability and load‑shifting. Prospective buyers must assess capacity (kWh), power output (kW), depth of discharge, efficiency and warranty terms, and match the battery to a suitable hybrid inverter.
