Longines Global Champions Tour in Rome postponed by rain

Rain disrupted the first day of the Longines Global Champions Tour in Rome, leading to the postponement of the Global Champions League to Saturday, October 10. While morning 2-star competitions proceeded with victories by Luca Coata and Stefano Nogara, much of the afternoon schedule was affected by the weather.

The only 5-star event to complete was the 1.60m individual competition, which determined the top 10 qualifiers for Sunday's LGCT Grand Prix. American Kristen Vanderveen secured first place with a time of 69.08 seconds. Riccardo Pisani took second place, followed by Harry Allen of Ireland in third.

Three Italian riders qualified for the Grand Prix: Riccardo Pisani, his student Greta Lepratti in fourth, and Elisa Chimirri in seventh.
