Longines Global Champions Tour returns to Rome

The Longines Global Champions Tour, a premier international showjumping circuit, is returning to Rome for its thirteenth seasonal stage. The event will take place from October 9 to 11 at the Ippodromo Militare ‘Pietro Giannattasio’ in Tor di Quinto.

This special edition features 16 competitions over three days with a total prize pool of 700,000 euros. The tournament expects over 100 riders from 35 nations and 200 horses. Key competitors include circuit leader Abdel Saïd and defending champion Gilles Thomas. Marco Di Paola, president of Fise, noted the significance of the venue as the ‘home of equestrian sports’ and highlighted the federation's centenary year.

The event serves as a critical stop for individual titles and the Global Champions League team standings, with riders competing for points to advance in the season.
