Longmont to Get Direct RTD Bus Service to Denver International Airport
The Regional Transportation District (RTD) is planning a direct bus route connecting Longmont, Colorado, with Denver International Airport (DIA). Funding for the project includes a grant of just over $9 million aimed at improving air quality and expanding frequent bus service in the region.
The route is still in early design stages, so exact fares have not been set. Officials estimate tickets could cost between $30 and $40, potentially with free airport‑side parking. The service would give Northern Colorado residents a convenient, possibly cheaper alternative to driving to the airport.
If approved, the new line would serve hundreds of passengers each day, reducing traffic congestion and providing a direct public‑transport link between Longmont and one of the nation’s busiest airports.
