Longtime US restaurants close due to health concerns

Two long-standing community restaurants in the United States are preparing to close permanently due to health-related challenges faced by their owners or staff.

In West Medford, the Paul Revere Restaurant will serve its final dinner on Sunday, August 30. The establishment, which has operated for 26 years at 447 High Street, is closing because the owners are facing “an unexpected, serious medical hardship.” The team announced that they must prioritize their health and family, leading to their retirement and the cessation of daily operations.

In Poseyville, Indiana, The Red Wagon Restaurant has announced it will close after nearly 18 years of service. The decision follows health concerns affecting key members of the staff. The owners noted that they searched for a replacement team before deciding to shut down. The restaurant, which originally opened in 2008 as The Feed Mill, will serve its final meal on Sunday, August 30.
