Lonnie Walker IV signs with Besiktas

Lonnie Walker IV has signed with the Turkish club Besiktas to compete in the EuroLeague following his release by the Denver Nuggets. Walker, a former first-round draft pick for the San Antonio Spurs, brings significant NBA experience to the Istanbul-based team, having previously played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets, and Philadelphia 76ers.

His arrival at Besiktas has raised questions regarding the status of David DeJulius, who is currently on a paid loan from UCAM Murcia. While Walker’s signing increases offensive competition on the perimeter, DeJulius remains contractually tied to the Spanish club. As of now, Besiktas has not contacted UCAM Murcia to discuss a potential change in DeJulius’s loan status or a permanent move.
