Lonzo Ball reflects on Cleveland Cavaliers stint and career injuries

NBA veteran Lonzo Ball has reflected on the challenges of his recent career, specifically discussing his underwhelming stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the impact of long-term injuries.

During an appearance on Michael Porter Jr.’s podcast, ‘Curious Mike,’ Ball suggested that his time in Cleveland could have been more successful if he had been more productive. He noted, “the s**t would have been fine in Cleveland if I would have just made an extra two shots per game.” During his 35 games with the Cavaliers, Ball averaged 4.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.9 assists, while recording career-low shooting percentages.

Ball also addressed the difficulty of dealing with the physical decline and limitations caused by major knee injuries that sidelined him for two seasons during his tenure with the Chicago Bulls. He remarked that such challenges take the joy out of the game, noting that most players eventually face a decline due to age or injury.
