Loops raises $3.5M in seed funding to unify e-commerce AI
E-commerce AI startup Loops has raised $3.5 million in a seed funding round to develop a unified AI platform for online retailers. The round was led by a16z speedrun, with participation from NTT Docomo, Connecticut Innovations, Alumni Ventures, and Monday Capital.
Loops aims to solve the issue of fragmented AI tools in retail, where separate systems often handle search, chatbots, product descriptions, and virtual try-ons in isolation. Co-founders Ari Nazir and İlker Selim Zorluoğlu state that this disconnected approach prevents retailers from creating a seamless customer journey. Instead, Loops intends to provide a single system that integrates product knowledge, business context, and customer intent to guide shoppers from discovery to purchase.
The new capital will be used to scale the platform, support product development, increase customer deployment capacity, and facilitate international expansion.
