Loora raises $22 million in Series B funding for AI English learning
Loora Ltd., a Tel Aviv-based AI English learning platform, has raised $22 million in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Union Tech Ventures, with participation from Hearst Ventures, vgames, Emerge, and QP Ventures. This brings the company’s total funding to $43.25 million.
The company plans to use the capital to strengthen its AI research and development, accelerate business expansion across the United States, Europe, Asia, and South America, and enhance its data infrastructure. Unlike general-purpose large language models, Loora’s system is specifically designed for language acquisition, utilizing a dataset of over 200 million interactions to provide personalized feedback and optimized instruction.
Founded in 2020 by Roy Mor and Yonatan Levin, Loora serves over 15 million learners globally. The platform offers both consumer applications and B2B products for corporations, governments, and universities, focusing on helping users achieve fluency through natural conversation on topics ranging from politics to philosophy.
