Lopik N210 road maintenance involves major closures

The province of Utrecht is conducting major maintenance on the M. A. Reinaldaweg (N210) in Lopik from August 31 to November 28. The project, executed by Dura Vermeer, includes replacing asphalt and road markings between Zijdeweg and Rolafweg Zuid, installing guardrails, and modifying intersections at Zijdeweg and Vrijheidslaan to improve road safety.

The work will be carried out in three phases:

Phase 1 (August 31 – October 3): Preparatory work involving the installation of a culvert and sheet piling near Zijdeweg. The N210 remains open, but local roads like Laan van Grebenstein and Zijdeweg will face closures.

Phase 2 (October 3 – November 6): The N210 will be closed in both directions between the Vrouwenmantel roundabout in Schoonhoven and the Zuiderparklaan/Europasingel intersection in Lopik. Traffic between IJsselstein and Schoonhoven will be diverted via the N204, N228, and N207.

Phase 3 (November 7 – November 28): Work on the parallel road south of the N210, including new asphalt and grass concrete tiles. The N210 and Laan van Grebenstein will reopen, though the parallel road will remain closed to through traffic.
