Lopătari City Hall faces allegations of financial mismanagement
The Lopătari City Hall is facing scrutiny regarding potential financial irregularities following disclosures by Vice Mayor Florin Dragomir. Allegations suggest the administration has accumulated unpaid state budget contributions for employee salaries totaling 6.5 billion old lei during the 2024-2026 mandate.
Additionally, the municipality reportedly owes approximately 500,000 lei to various goods and services providers, with some debts exceeding 18 months. Concerns have also been raised regarding the transparency of funding for the rehabilitation of the DC 159 communal road. It is suggested that 365,000 lei from government emergency funds intended for natural disaster relief may have been used for this project, though the exact source of the funds remains unclear.
